Where abouts in Malta did you go to? I had a lovley two weeks there with my MSc class a couple of years ago. Ended up getting very burnt and walking a million miles to go and look at some ancient temples which are apparently the oldest man-made forms on earth! Did have a nice bike ride around Gozo though.
We were based in Sliema, which is a seafront town. My dad has a town house there so we just took over that for a week.
We crammed loads in but didn’t make it to Gozo mainly because we couldn’t get out of our pits before midday. We have unanimously promised to go next time. We had a lovely time, except when I fell don a number of stairs (much to the delight of a certain twosome), didn’t feel a thing until the net day though.
I remember Beth telling me (in great detail) about how Malta is a town planner’s heaven. I would recommend another trip to anyone. I am actually thinking about going out there for a few months to work for my dad at some point…
I stayed in Sliema. There was a one stop music marathon on when I was there in their jazz bar. i vaguley remember trying to play the guitar with only four strings and sing whilst very drunk at 3.30am ish! As you can imagine it was fantastic!
It was quite a good place to stay and suprising lots of bars, although some had dodgy pole dancing in them. Lots of little lizards to amuse me and scary bus rides.
