Big Brother Update

Probably the saddest (one of) statement that I am ever likely to make but did anybody tape last night’s (26 July) Big Brother? No seriously though, will it be repeated at some point this week? T4? Anybody?

It was the funniest thing I have ever seen – it was delivered like re-enacted script from 'Slapstick, Spank-Me, and Double-Me-Up, My-Side-Have-Split, Central Productions'. Iit was furrking BRILLIANT!

It prompted me to check our predictions (quite funny take a look) - http://duwfc.blogspot.com/2006/05/big-brother-sweepy.html - here are the people still in with a chance of winning the £10 takes in the kitty!

Juice and Imogen
Di and Mikey
Beef and Pete (oooh, he’s up for eviction)
CC and Richard

Anybody in the above group confident enough to raise the stakes? Come on, put your ‘green stuff’ where your cakehole is? Beth, I reckon it’s your call; Pete's a sure thing, No?.

Rubbing Shoulders ...

As we gear up for another year of sectarian insults and bigoted banter, Womat reaffirms her allegiance by squeezing Shaun Maloney’s butt before last night’s shocking defeat against Man Utd (he probably couldn’t concentrate after than) and telling him, under no uncertain terms, that the Tims could do with Romping away from Huns early doors.

Wombat: “The way things stand Shauny, we competing with Aberdeen for top spot and Rangers are lagging behind in 11th, they don’t look like catching us again this season but we need to keep it that way. You listening buckaroo?

[It’s true, with no scores on the board that is the way things stand – it’s in alphabetical order init - anyway, he fell for it]

Maloney: Got it boss!

Date For The Diary

Ladies,
Got a lovely email from the Wombatster yesterday urging us to get this football match in Preston booked. I include an exert from her email below.

We have to keep in mind that we are all busy people and getting us all together is going to be really tricky – so before you say you can’t do the suggested date, please think long and hard.

I have a very good mental image of the day and it really would be a fitting tribute to have it in Preston with Kath’s parents and friends cheering us on:

"I remembered this girl we used to all play against called Jess McBeath, she was captain of Stirling at around the time you were gaffer or thereabouts. Well, anyway I met her at a conference at University of Central Lancashire last year, the uni's in Preston. She works there doing research into football studies AND she did her PhD in womens football (but thats just by-the-by!) And here's my link. Wouldn't it be good if we could get the match for Kath organised in Preston and I'm sure Jess could organise some oppostition maybe with old uni girls and a pitch maybe at Preston. Anyway, this was just something I was thinking but wanted to run it by you before I might email Jess? What do you think?"

So please give me your comments on the following?
- How you all fixed on the weekend of 2nd September (think hard)?
- Shall we let old Jess help us out with a decent opposition, or is that too serious?
- What do people think about a fives competition?
